Einsteinium is the chemical element with symbol Es and atomic number 99. Einsteinium isn't known to naturally occur in nature, and hence all terrestrial Einsteinium is made using synthetic processes. Einsteinium's longest lived isotope is Es-252, with a half life of about a year. It is also the heaviest element to be isolated in visible quantities. Einsteinium is a silvery metal, which glows blue in the dark because of its radioactivity.
