Should we merge with them? That wiki is dead but the info is good.

Recently, I succeeded in adopting this wiki. However, I feel that only one admin is not enough for this wiki. Also, I don't know very much about chemistry, and of course, the Chemistry Wiki needs admins who know more about the subject.
If you wish to become an admin, please write a blog to introduce yourself on this wiki. Then, please give me the link, either here or on my user page. Your blog can include these things, for example:
How much you know about Chemistry
Your experience as an admin/moderator on another wiki
Why you're applying to become an admin
Here is my example.
I have always been interested in Chemistry since 5 years ago. I have finished the Chemistry courses of senior high school in my country. I am a bureaucrat of Nanjing Metro Wiki and a content moderator on Kids Baking Championship Wiki, and I think I'm doing a good job there. I want to be an admin simply because I love Chemistry and this wiki.
Here is another made-up example.
I learned Chemistry in university. Now I'm working at a science research centre. I haven't been on other Fandom wikis yet, but I think my knowledge will make me a good admin. For example, I will improve the pages about the elements. I can also add more information about the structures of different crystals since these are an important part of my job.
Thank you for your application! I hope to see your replies soon!
Today, Fandom staff turned down my permission extension request.
The reason was that I was absent for a few days in a row during the last month. Well, I can't say they're wrong. I really didn't edit this wiki every day, since I, a student preparing for the very important exam to enter Senior High School, has a lot of homework to do, and cannot spend that much time on this wiki.
Obviously, I could give up. I could say, "Let me just edit as a normal user. Bureaucrat rights are quite meaningful to me anyway."
But I didn't. Because this is Chemistry Wiki.
Chemistry has always been my single favourite subject. It's a thing I love so much that I would stay up late until 2 AM just for it. It's a thing that can make me happy whenever I feel depressed. It's a thing that I may dedicate my whole life to. It's basically the other half of my life. What's more, the Chemistry Wiki is not made to satisfy my interest. It is made for all the people in the world who love chemistry. It's made for the great subject of Chemistry itself. If I can't stop this wiki from having no admins and being in an unorganized state, I will feel bad for being unhelpful to this online world of Chemistry.
As the staff members suggested, I will start editing this wiki regularly, and when I achieve a streak of 7 days, I will submit another adoption request. A few weeks after that, I should be able to request for permanent bureaucrat rights again. If I fail once again, I will repeat the whole process again and again, until I succeed in adopting the wiki or I find another user who is willing to adopt this wiki and deserves the bureaucrat rights.
Every day from now is a day of hard work for me. This struggle is for myself, for this wiki, and of course, for Chemistry.
